Frequently asked Questions from our Customers

Why a metal roof?

A Metal Roofing system is a stronger more reliant roof system especially for residents of Florida with Hurricane and High Wind prone areas.

How long will it last in comparison to asphalt shingles?

Installed correctly a metal roof system will keep your home safe for over 40 and even up to 70 years.

where as the shingled roof is 17 to 22 years in the eyes of the insurance companies

Does home owners insurance go down with a metal roof?

Yes, installing a metal roof can lower your homeowners insurance premiums often by 5 to 35%

Insurers offer discounts because  they  boast excellent wind fire and impact resistance.

Does the metal roof make a tinny loud sound when it rains?

Back in the day when it was just rafters and metal, there was more noise, but the homes are now made with wood decks typically, and absorb the sounds.  The comparison is very much as loud as a shingled roof, just a different tone usually.

Will my Cell Phone work inside my home.

In most cases yes.  But there are areas with weaker signals which may have you connect to your wifi.  More towers are being built and stronger signals are in more areas, so it comes down to your carrier and location.

How do you haul away the roofing debris?

We use smaller dump trailers so weight on the driveway or area we use does not cause damage.   As the first trailer is nearly full we switch it out to the next. This eliminates cracked drive ways.

T Mark Roofing Deliveries

When delivering roofing material we have a panel machine we use to fabricate on sight your Standing Seam Panels. This allows us to check every panel as it is made from coil, to panel, to your roof.

Daily visits to the job site by the contractor is a part of every job.

The certified roofing contractor visits the sight daily, sometimes 2 and 3 times, to keep questions answered and the crew on task with material and guidance if needed for challenging areas.

All installs are per FLORIDA BUILDING CODE, AND THE MANUFACTURES DETALS.

Installation to fl  building code and the manufactures details are crucial to ensure longevity and strength to your new roof.   We do not cut corners.

Top quality metals are used.

We partner with METAL ROOF SOURCE located in Central FL for all of our roofing systems.

Please explain 29, 26, and 24 gauge Metal Roofing Panels

Oddly 29 gauge is the the thinest of these panels and typically used or metal building walls.  However there are Roofing Companies that use the 29 gauge to show a less expensive price.   We recommend 26 gauge for residential and 24 gauge for commercial.  However many of our standing seam jobs are 24 gauge both in residential and small commercial.
